The Ocean Cleanup

TheOceanCleanup is a Dutch nonprofit founded in 2013 by Boyan Slat. It develops advanced technologies to remove plastic from oceans (Systems00103) and intercept it in rivers using solar-powered Interceptors. They conduct researchair, satellite, and AI‑assisted mappingand recycle collected plastic into products.

OceanConservancy is a science‑driven nonprofit dedicated to protecting the ocean, wildlife, and coastal communities through evidence‑based policy, community engagement, and large‑scale programs. Their work spans climate change mitigation, sustainable fisheries, Arctic and Florida conservation, marine debris reduction via the InternationalCoastalCleanup, and smart ocean planning.
