Save Our Oceans

Oceana is the world’s largest nonprofit devoted exclusively to ocean conservation, founded in 2001. They run science-based, targeted policy campaigns—lobbying, litigation, research—to rebuild biodiversity, curb overfishing, pollution, habitat destruction, and protect marine species. With over 300 policy victories and nearly 4 million square miles safeguarded, they restore healthy, abundant oceans

The Ocean Cleanup is a Dutch nonprofit founded in 2013 by Boyan Slat. It develops advanced technologies to remove plastic from oceans (Systems 001–03) and intercept it in rivers using solar-powered “Interceptors.” They conduct research—air, satellite, and AI‑assisted mapping—and recycle collected plastic into products.

Ocean Conservancy is a science‑driven nonprofit dedicated to protecting the ocean, wildlife, and coastal communities through evidence‑based policy, community engagement, and large‑scale programs. Their work spans climate change mitigation, sustainable fisheries, Arctic and Florida conservation, marine debris reduction via the International Coastal Cleanup, and smart ocean planning.
